Bosch wanted to create an application for retail and service sectors to monitor the energy consumption by measuring the input and output of their devices in a clear and concise manner, analyze costs at micro and macro levels to help the outlets be more efficient in their energy consumption.

The sheer amount of data that had to be analysed was ginormous with data at several levels such as Enterprise, Supervisor, Super admin who would be able to have an overview as well as deep drilled down data to analyse individual outlets' performances.
Organising such amount of data with precision on a dashboard with limited space was the biggest challenge. Interaction design needed to take into account the levels of drill down without making it too confusing for the users as our target group is regional managers and their superiors who are time constrained.
We tackled the challenge by organising data into sizeable chunks and understanding the levels. Back navigation was made simple and easy so that the users could go back and forth to get either a macro or a micro level of data with ease. Filters were provided which the users could use to their advantage.
Designing for scale was the biggest learning, organizing data and testing helped us understand that a content strategy is very important when it comes to data heavy projects.
